The veterinary requirements to enter Thailand from the UK, your pet - dog or cat - are multiple, and include having an Import Permit from Thailand’s Department of Livestock Development, a microchip (ISO 11784/11785) and multiple vaccinations. You also need both an Export Health Certificate (EHC), issued within 3 days before your departure.

To import a dog into Thailand from the UK, an import permit is required. This permit is issued by the Thai Department of Livestock Development.
You must apply in advance, preferably at least 7-15 business days before your travel date, by emailing the necessary documents to the Animal Quarantine Station at your port of entry. The required documents include an application form, a copy of your passport, a photo of your dog, flight details, and your dog's vaccination and microchip records.
The permit is valid for 60 days. Upon arrival in Thailand, you must present the permit and your dog's health certificate to a veterinary officer from the Animal Quarantine Station (AQS) at the airport, who will then issue the final import license.

Dogs normally have to undergo 30 days of isolation before traveling to China.
We are proud to say that, in some cases, we manage to avoid this, making the travel preparations easier for our clients.
In case a home quarantine is needed, an Official Vet (OV) must inspect and approve the isolation premises, which can be your home. The OV will also conduct a pre-isolation check.
Once arrived, your pet will be eligible for a quarantine exemption on arrival, provided all import requirements are strictly followed.

Legalised, to be officially recognised in Lebanon (see below).

Once the EHC has been issued and signed by the Official Veterinarian (OV), it must undergo legalisation to be officially recognised in Lebanon.
First, the certificate must be submitted to the UK Legalisation Office (FCDO), where the signature and stamp are verified, and an apostille is attached. After this, the apostilled certificate must be taken or sent to the Lebanese Consulate, where it is further legalised to confirm its validity for use in Lebanon.
This two-step legalisation process ensures the EHC is fully accepted by Lebanese authorities.

Returning to the UK (dogs only)
Before returning to the UK, dogs must receive a certified tapeworm treatment from a vet abroad between 24 and 120 hours prior to crossing the border. The treatment must be registered on the AHC.
