We always do our best to accommodate last-minute requests, but we recommend booking at least 7 days before your travel date to ensure we can fulfil your appointment and complete all necessary documentation on time.
Keep in mind that certain requirements—like rabies vaccination—must be completed well in advance of travel (see "Does my pet need a rabies vaccine?" below). The actual health certificate examination must be done within a specific timeframe before departure, typically within 10 days for European travel.
Our advice: Contact us as soon as you know your travel dates, and we'll guide you through the complete timeline for your specific destination.

Animal Health Certificates (AHCs) are specifically for pet travel from the UK to European countries (EU member states, plus Norway, Switzerland, and a few others). The process is relatively straightforward, requiring rabies vaccination at least 21 days before travel, microchipping, and a veterinary examination within 10 days of departure.
Export Health Certificates (EHCs) are required for travel from the UK to countries outside Europe (except the USA). These certificates can be considerably more complicated, often requiring additional preparations such as:
Blood tests (e.g., rabies titre tests)
Extra vaccinations beyond rabies
Longer preparation timelines (sometimes months in advance)
Additional documentation specific to the destination country
Each destination has its own unique requirements, which is why we recommend getting in touch early so we can guide you through the specific process for your travel plans.

Yes! We provide convenient home visit services throughout London. This means we come directly to your door to perform all necessary examinations, microchip scanning, and certificate completion—saving you time and reducing stress for your pet by avoiding exposure to other animals at a clinic (cats love them!).
Our appointments are quick and efficient, typically lasting no more than 20 minutes, so you can get back to your day while we handle everything your pet needs.
Travelling from outside London? Depending on your location, we may still be able to help. Contact us for a tailored quote, and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs.

Yes, for most destinations. Rabies vaccination is a standard requirement for international pet travel and must be administered by a licensed veterinarian.
Key timing requirements:
European travel: At least 21 days before departure (mandatory).
USA travel: Not required by the CDC for entry, but we strongly recommend vaccination at least 30 days before departure as most US states and local jurisdictions require pets to have current rabies vaccinations
Other destinations: Requirements vary—some countries require rabies titre blood tests in addition to vaccination
Important: Your pet must be microchipped before receiving their rabies vaccination for it to be valid for travel purposes.
If needed, we can help with rabies vaccinations, even at home! We use long-lasting rabies vaccines (valid for 3 years) to make future travel easier for you and your pet.

Your Animal Health Certificate is valid for 10 days from the date of issue for departure from the UK. This means you must leave the UK within this 10-day window.
For example: If your certificate is issued on the 1st of May, it will be valid for departure until the 11th of May.
For your return journey to the UK: Your pet can re-enter as long as their rabies vaccination remains valid (typically up to 3 years), or for a maximum of 4 months from the date the AHC was issued—whichever comes first.
Planning tip: Make sure to book your appointment so that the certificate is issued close to your departure date, ensuring you maximize the validity period for both outbound and return travel.
