Yes — the certificate is valid from its date of issue, so a same-day appointment works as long as your pet's rabies vaccination and microchip are already in order.

At one of our four click & collect locations — Stanwell Moor, Kennington Park, British Library (King's Cross), or Paddington — or we can come directly to your home if you'd rather avoid the stress of travelling with your pet beforehand.

Only if you're travelling to Finland, Ireland, Malta, Northern Ireland, or Norway with your dog. Cats do not need tapeworm treatment.

The treatment (typically a tablet) must be given 24–120 hours before you cross the border and recorded on the certificate by the administering vet — we'll walk you through the timing when you book.

No — each AHC is valid for one outbound trip, plus onward travel within the EU for up to 4 months and return to the UK within that same window. You'll need a new certificate for each subsequent trip abroad. Returning customers get 15% off.

You'll need an Export Health Certificate (EHC) instead, which has different requirements depending on the destination.
