How Much Does an Animal Health Certificate Cost in London? (2026 Comparison Guide)

If you're planning to travel to Europe with your pet, you've probably already discovered that AHC pricing across London varies a lot depending on who you go with. Here's what to expect, and how our pricing compares.

What AHC prices typically look like in London

Animal Health Certificate prices in London generally fall somewhere between £150 and £350, depending on the provider. A few things drive that range:

  • Type of provider - large vet chains, independent clinics, and specialist AHC services all price differently

  • Clinic visit vs. home visit - home visits usually cost more

  • How much notice you give - last-minute bookings (especially inside 5–7 days) often come with a premium

  • Number of pets - most providers charge extra for additional animals on the same trip

Many general vet practices charge towards the higher end of that range, partly because AHCs are lengthy documents to prepare and not every vet is a DEFRA-approved Official Veterinarian — so practices with limited OV availability often pass that cost on.

Our pricing: from £139

We keep things simple. A Click & Collect appointment at one of our four London locations starts from £139 — among the most competitive rates in London for a DEFRA-approved Official Veterinarian.

Your appointment takes around 10 minutes and includes:

  • A microchip scan of your pet, and an exam of the proof of rabies vaccination

  • Your DEFRA-approved Animal Health Certificate, which we prepare in advance for you

  • Our expert guidance on your pet's travel requirements

We also offer home visits from £225, if you'd rather we come to you.

(Please note: urgent bookings under 5 days before travel, and weekend appointments, carry an additional £50.)
